My New Pool!

So we got Brady a little $10 kiddie pool at Wal-Mart and he loves it!  We stuck it under a shade tree in the backyard and it is the perfect afternoon treat for him.   His favorite things are sticking his face in the water and playing with the hose.  Check out a few pics of his first time...he has since become an expert in all things kiddie pool.

Could I be any cuter?  My mommy and daddy don't think so.

Just a day in May

Today I.....
  • watched intently as the yard man mowed the side lawn on his big lawn mower
  •  took two naps
  • ate a banana, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, apple and pineapple (among other stuff)...but I LOVE my fresh fruit!!
  • played with Ollie
  • went to the new pool down the street and played for over an hour
  • tried to take toys away from a 2 1/2 year old boy named Ethan who was also at the pool
  • got mad when Mom made me leave the pool/playground area
  • played in the backyard for 45 minutes and pulled 3 of Daddy's zinnias out of their pot (by their roots)
  • Handed my little sliding board books (my favorite) to Mama and grunted (this means read to me NOW) several times throughout the day...I sit still and listen when she reads them to me
  • made an adorable face that caused Mama to laugh out loud when she was actually trying to discipline me
  • squealed with excitement when my Daddy came home
  • enjoyed toys and tunes during bath time
  • got lots of kisses and hugs from Mama, Dada and Ollie dog

Yet another tale of Brady and his bud Ollie.

*We need a little pick me up after this long week and I have been dying to post these adorable pictures....so they are a little late, but better late than never*

During our trip to Fredericksburg over Mother's Day weekend, Brady was playing with Ollie in the living room.  All of the sudden, Brady turned around and ran into the bedroom.  We followed him and he was laying in Ollie's bed waiting for Ollie to come and get him.  It was the cutest thing ever.... we egged Ollie on to "get" Brady and lots of licks and giggles followed.  Check out their little game:

Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease

So B came down with a very high fever on Sunday.  After 3 visits to the Dr. because new symptoms have been popping up daily, he has been diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease.... he has a pretty textbook case and a pretty nasty case.  Little guy has blisters in his mouth and on his tongue, blisters on his cheek, lips, nose, fingers, between his toes, and the bottom of his feet.  On top of that he has a pretty bad rash all over his bottom and the back of his thighs.  Sunday and Monday were pretty agonizing for him but he seems to be a little perkier today.  He is having a hard time eating because of the pain and I can't imagine how it feels to walk around on those little feet with blisters on the bottom and between those cute toes.  Keep the little guy's recovery in your prayers... Thanks!

Kindermusik comes to a close.

Today was our last day of Kindermusik so I thought it only appropriate to post a picture of Brady that really captures our experience with this class.  He did really seem to enjoy the interaction but he especially liked doing his own thing.. I would have to say that he was definitely the rebel of the class! Thanks MeMe for snapping this photo of the Bug.

MeMe's very appropriate quote for this picture: "I would rather stand on my head than play with that doll!"

All Boy!

Brady loves to be outside more than anything.  He walks around picking up rocks and sticks and dirt and carries them around like treasure.  He inspects eveything in the grass and picks every dandelion he can find.  No matter how long we stay out he fusses when we try and bring him inside.  Here are few of my favorite pictures of him enjoying the outdoors this past weekend:

Happy Mother's Day Indeed!

I feel so blessed that God chose me to be a mother to our little angel, Mr. Brady Bug.  Words can't describe how he continues to melt my heart on a daily basis.  I am tremendously grateful and constantly overwhelmed by my love for this little man.  On Mother's Day we got to spread a little bit of Brady joy by spending the weekend with Nonnie.

A nice full belly and a dirty face
He really liked Nonnie's pretty necklace!
Tim and Brady took us moms out to lunch at the Peach Tree...yummy!

Brady (via Timmy) surprised Momma with a sweet card and pretty flowers when we got home!
Thanks to my two boys for a wonderful day!
